The UK airline will offer free fast in-flight connectivity through space-based partnership
Passengers on British Airways can soon use high-speed connectivity during flights free of charge due to a recent deal involving Elon Musk's communications company.
Free and Fast Internet Across the Board
The airline stated that this free, “quick and reliable” internet service through Starlink becomes available for passengers in coach, premium economy, and premium cabins as of next month.
Expanded Implementation Over Several Flight Operators
The umbrella company for British Airways, the airline group, confirmed it had finalized an deal with SpaceX for providing internet coverage on more than 500 planes within its operators, including Aer Lingus, the Spanish carrier, plus the low-cost airline.
Smooth Internet from Gate to Arrival
BA stated that this introduction for this service was part of a £7bn “upgrade” plan and would deliver uninterrupted connectivity access to travelers starting at the gate to landing, even when they are flying over large bodies of water and remote regions.

Present Wifi Offerings
Limited wifi service remains provided to BA flyers on the majority of its jets via its .air system.
Participants of the airline's loyalty club can dispatch communications and text-only messages during flights without paying, while flyers wishing to stream music, movies, and content throughout their travel and are not travelling in premium cabins may be charged from four pounds ninety-nine to twenty-one pounds ninety-nine per wifi package.
